Introduction |
|
The courses provided by the Department
of Law are designed to give training in the field of legal principles and an understanding
of the operation of law in society. The study of law is beneficial not only to those
who intend to enter the legal profession, but also to those who intend to adopt
a wide variety of other occupations. It was certainly a great and bold step of the
Vice-Chancellor to establish the Department of Law in the University of Sargodha
to start Program of LL.B (Three Years) which was enthusiastically appreciated and
welcomed by the people of the region. The Department is being run on self supporting
basis. Encouraged by the successful performance & quality education offered
by the Department, it attracted a large number of students to get admission from
Sargodha and other adjoining districts.
Students from other universities were also included in these classes. An integrated LL.B (Hons) 5-year program has been
started since last year. The Department is determined to start LL.M classes &
Diploma Courses in Intellectual Property Laws, Environmental Laws and Human Rights. The
Department of Law is working with a purpose to impart practical and useful knowledge
and create awareness in the field of law, social structure, basic human rights and
process of legislation within and outside the country with special emphasis on charactre
building. The medium of instruction and examination is compulsorily English. The
students of the department of law are actively participating in curricular and extra
curricular activities i.e. the students not only participated in the mock trials
conducted by the department of law but also the students participated in the University
sports in which they excelled. |
